Stress-Free Property Settlement Transactions
Whether you’re buying or selling your home, many things need to be reviewed, negotiated, searched, signed, and certified to make you the new legal owner of a property or parcel of land.
It can get complicated. So, having the right legal support on your side is essential!
March On Legal offers affordable, efficient conveyancing services backed by years of property law experience and a solid (and personal) knowledge of the benefits available to ADF Member or Veterans.
As a current or former ADF Member, you can access grants and payments that support you and your family to buy and sell your home. These include the Defence Home Ownership Assistance Scheme and the Home Purchase or Sale Expenses Allowance. Each one has various conditions and entitlements based on your ADF service record. March On Legal can help determine your eligibility and best options based on your specific circumstances. If you already receive these benefits, March On Legal can provide legal support if your circumstances change or when you’re buying or selling again.

Defence Home Ownership Assistance Scheme (DHOAS)
DHOAS assists current and former ADF members and their families to achieve home ownership. The longer you serve in the ADF, the more assistance you can receive under this scheme and the longer you can receive it. You must have served with the last five years to apply, have completed a qualifying period of service and accrued service credit. March On Legal can help you assess your eligibility and options and provide legal support if your circumstances change.
Home Purchase or Sale Expenses Allowance (HPSEA)
HPSEA is a reimbursement for some costs related to selling a home. It works on a sell-buy-sell cycle linked to your posting. To receive a claim, you will need to meet eligibility criteria for selling and buying a home, including time limits. March On Legal can help you assess your eligibility and options and provide legal support if your circumstances change.
Conveyancing FAQ:
When Do I Need To Get Conveyancing Services?
Whenever you are buying or selling property, it is important to get legal advice before you start the sales process or make an offer on a home. March On Legal can help you understand the necessary searches and help you prepare or review the contract.
Can We Claim Conveyances Fees If We’re Buying a Home?
HPSEA is reimbursement for ADF Members for some costs related to buying or selling your home. You will need to meet eligibility criteria, including time limits, to make a claim. If you’re buying a home, you can claim costs for conveyancing fees.
What Are Property Searches?
Searches involve sourcing information from local councils and other authorities to tell you what you need to know about a property or land before purchase. Searches help reduce your risk by uncovering things, such as debts, heritage listings, unlawful deeds or construction plans that may impact the property.
How Do You Calculate Your Conveyancing Fees?
March On Legal offers a discounted flat fee for ADF Members and Veterans buying and selling in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA. This fee excludes disbursements and searches. These additional costs are variable because each property is unique, and sometimes the process can become complicated. Please contact us to discuss your circumstances, particularly for conveyancing in the NT, ACT, WA and Tasmania.
